Schoenefeld Airport Information
Here is some information about Berlin Airport:
Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (IATA: SXF) is an international airport located in the town of Schönefeld in Brandenburg, adjacent to Berlin's southern border. It is referred to as "The Holiday Airport", as it has mostly international charter flights. Schönefeld was once the major civil airport of East Germany, and the only airport serving East Berlin. Schönefeld Airport is situated outside the city proper, unlike Berlin Tegel Airport. Therefore noise pollution is less of an issue at Schönefeld. Schönefeld will be transformed into Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport in 2011. In return, Tempelhof closed in 2008 and Tegel will close. In 2006, the airport served 6,059,343 passengers; after conversion to BBI, up to 50 million passengers could be handled.

Frankfurt International Airport Information
Frankfurt am Main Airport (IATA: FRA), known in German as Flughafen Frankfurt am Main or Rhein-Main-Flughafen , is Germany's largest airport by passenger movement and is located southwest of the city centre of Frankfurt. It is a major player in Europe- the third busiest airport in Europe, serving the most international destinations. It is a major hub for Lufthansa, Germany's flag-carrier.
Frankfurt airport has strong road and rail connections, making it a transport hub for the greater Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region. There are 2 train stations at the aiport, one for regional and one for longer distance trains.
Opened as The Rhein-Main Airport and Airship Base in 1936. Interestingly, it was initially used as a main base for airships, but this stopped after the Hindenburg disaster in 1937. It was used for military purposes during World War 2 and afterwards for US Airforce contributions to the Berlin Airlift, recommencing flights by Lufthansa in 1955. There are currently plans to add a fourth runway and another terminal to the airport, which currently has 2 main terminals and a dedicated First Class terminal for Lufthansa passengers.
